Terms and conditions for private customers


Orders
Orders from private customers can only be processed if placed through our web site and credit card details are provided. By registering on http://www.casalini.it, the user has access to i libri Database®. Once registered, the user can carry out bibliographical searches, select and order titles, as well as check the status of any existing orders.

Payment
Payment can be effected by the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard or American Express. Details must be provided by the customer when placing orders.

Material supplied
We supply works by Italian publishers as catalogued in the i libri Database®. Please note that titles not included in our database will not be supplied. We would also like to advise that since standing orders and subscriptions cannot be accepted, access is limited to our i libri Database® only.

Prices
Casalini Libri charges the publishers' list prices.

Shipping costs
Customers are liable for all shipping costs, which vary according to weight. This can be estimated as approximately 15% - 20% of the book's price. Material is sent either by post or courier, depending on cost. All parcels weighing less than 5 kg are sent by regular post.

Delivery time
Orders are forwarded to the publisher upon receipt as we do not hold stock in our warehouse. Average delivery time of orders is approximately 35 days.

Order status and claims
By logging on to our web site http://www.casalini.it, you can check the status of your orders as follows: i) Go to the bibliographical record of the title ordered.ii) Click on the link Monographic Order Status and the details of your order will appear on the screen. Please note that this information can be viewed from the first working day onwards following the date of ordering (if you have ordered previously with Casalini Libri). Should this be your first order with our company, the order status can be viewed from three working days onwards following the date of ordering.

Should you not have received the material concerned within five weeks of placing your order, you may record your claim by clicking on Request more information (found on the same page). Please note that any claims sent before the five week delivery period cannot be processed.

Price and availability
The prices shown on i libri Database® are the cover prices of the first edition and therefore subject to change by the publisher. Where a month and a year is visible in brackets next to the price (e.g. February 2002), it means that the price was updated on that date, and the book was available at that time. Customers will be notified should the price increase by more than 20%; the title in question is only then supplied upon receipt of customer confirmation.

Requests for information on price and availability for titles not on i libri Database® cannot be processed.

Returns
Returns will be accepted after authorisation has been granted by Casalini Libri. Authorisation will be given when the request for return is caused by an error on the part of Casalini Libri or if the book is defective.
